Wireless on Vista

Ok so I got 64 bit vista for my newly built pc. The only problem is my previous adapter is not compatible with the OS (linksys WUSB54GS-UK). I was wondering if I could use an ethernet cable to connect from my pc to my home router. The router has 4 ports with one being used on another computer. The router is being used on a 32 bit vista at the minute so will this work for a 64 bit vista computer to be connected to the same router via a cable.

Replies will be much appreciated!

Yus, it'll work. Routers are completely independent of the OS you're running - they all communicate and operate using the IEEE 802 (ethernet) standard as do all network interfaces, and this standard is universal no matter what you're running :)
