so i got a new laptop. Its an HP dv5-1015nr entertainment notebook. Im brand new to vista so i dont know if this is my wireless card or a vista thing or what. I can connect to a network just fine. After a few hours tho, it says on the bottom that the connection has limited or no connectivity. Its not the router and the only thing that fixes this is to restart the computer. This gets irritating. This happens with any wireless service i connect to. whats the problem?

Could potentially be a wireless adapter driver issue. According to HP, you either have Intel Pro Wireless or Broadcom wireless. Both have an update that was posted in July (07-2008). Check your device manager and see if the driver is dated older or version is different than what HP.com has listed.

It could also be your wireless router that is causing the problem. Is this a new router? Or one that you've had for a while and it has worked fine until now? Might check to see if there is a firmware update.

These are the things I'd check first.
