wireless g and wireless b

hey, if i get a wireless G router could my laptop still get connected with its wireless B card? thanks

most upto date wireless routers support both g and b so you should be ok .what router are you thinking of getting as this will give us more info.sorry i missed the link ignore the bit about info.

Yes it will support both 802.11 protocols G and B because it says so here:

Usually. If you want the best performance always buy wireless cards, modems, routers from the same brand. And yes, if the box says that it's compatible with 802.11a/b/g then it will work. It's just that your 802.11b wireless card will run at it's normal speed, while the 802.11g will run at a faster speed.
