Default wireless configuration

im trying to setup a belkin wireless g usb adapter on my brothers comp. the only problem is is that windows does not find any wireless networks. i know there is a wireless network because my mother is setup on it. why does windows not find this wireless network?

now is windows managing the wireless networks like on mine, i have a netgear adapter and in order to connect if i was disconnected i would go throught the program they gave me, not throught windows

windows is managing it, but i have to keep repairing it to get it to start up....disabling then enabling again and again.

have you tried uninstalling and then reinstalling the drivers

Have configured the adapter correctly? eg the router and the wireless clients must both have the same SSID and the same WEP settings, you will need to look at you manual to see what it is, also is this the host computer?(router plugged into) if so make sure you don't have wireless and LAN plugged in at the same time.
