Default wireless card cutting out when downloading

not sure if this is the right place for this or not...

basically whenever im downloading of any form, my wireless card cuts out and says i have local access only, and requires resetting, i plugged it into my router earlier and it was fine and did not cut off at all, and its fine just generally browsing the internet, only when downloading.

any ideas?

thanks

Is this a laptop this is happening on?
If so, make sure you have the latest drivers
