Default Wireless Adapter Help

I purchased an ASUS wireless LAN cardbus Adapter (WL-107G) for my HP Laptop. I get a good signal but the internet will not connect. I am using Mozilla. Will adapters work with Mozilla or do I need Internet Explorer? Thanks!

Your problem - you're connected to the router but not the internet.
How to fix - I have no idea.

Unplug the power to both the modem and the router. Plug in the modem first and wait for the modem to boot up. Bout a minute. Plug in the router and wait about two minutes. During all this leave your laptop on and the wireless card active. Then on your laptop right click the wireless icon and select connect to a network. Look for the name your router has. Connect to that one. If still you have the same problem, right click the wireless icon and select repair. Follow the prompts.
