My laptop has a wireless connection. The computer i'm using at this very moment is connected to a wireless connection. My laptop is right next to this computer. My wireless connection is ditecting the connection. That it is in range, and that it is there. When I hit connect I don't get anything. THe speed is high speed i tested it its 4.8 MBS any suggestions? The connectiong thingy is Braodcom 802.11g

Yea, teh router could be encoded so that the laptop won't be able to access the network unless you unlock it for the laptop.
