hi, i now run vista as my main os.....my problem is i got a older pocket pc 2002 pocket pc that i use from time to time.....i normally use active sync in xp.... but now where i run vista....is there anyway to do it?

You could try updating to a new version of active sync if there is one, if not just try installing on vista and see if it will work. I've never tried or heard of anyone trying yet so I can't say if it works or not but hey, it's worth a try :)

no...no./... i tried plugging my pda in....it says it isn't supported....active sync won't install.....and the speail vista program only supports 2003 and higher...anyother suggestions..i really don't wanna dual boot xp and vista, thxs, shawn

Hmmm, according to this page, pocket pc 2002 is supported.
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsmobile/activesync/activesync45.mspx

active sync is for xp only.... not vista... if you read this:

"Note: Microsoft ActiveSync works only with Windows XP SP2 or earlier. If you have Windows Vista, your synchronization settings will be managed through the Windows Mobile Device Center. Windows Mobile Device Center is available through the Windows Mobile Device Center page.:"

and this mobile device thing that for vista isn't compaitble with 2002....i have tried it already.......

Have you seen this then?

For Windows Embedded CE 4.2, 5.0, Pocket PC 2002, and Smartphone 2002 devices, basic connectivity support includes connecting over USB and serial, using desktop passthrough with the PC's internet connection, and file browse.

Thats taken from here, not sure if thats any use tho:)
