Default Windows Vista OEM & video card question

I'm planning on buying Windows Vista and a new video card. I noticed the OEM version are much cheaper. If I buy one of those and backup all of my files, can I install it over a Windows XP Home installation? I don't care if it formats the drive. Is there something I should know about a OEM edition? And is this video card compatable with Aero? Also, is a 1.50 GHZ processor okay? Thanks!

yes, that video card will run aero. You can run vista off of that proc, but it will be slow. Not sure if it can upgrade your XP, but it can format the drive and all that.

I bevlive the OEMS are system builder's only, so they can only be put on one system, period. However, thats not to say you cna't upgrade that system.

I have a Socket A motherboard. Can you still buy those kind of processors?

Not really. You may want to buy / build a new computer for Vista if you really want to run it.
