SP1 do not have any problems at all. It is a significant upgrade to the original Windows XP beause it provides USB 2.0 support and other security enhancements.

SP2 is totally security enhanced. I don't beleive it is necessary to have SP2 if you have a decent internet security software and antivirus program.

Interesting... then it must be the windows cd... cause I remember that after I've installed windows from that cd it gave me problems... hmm... I guess I might have to buy a new windows XP (which would suck, but it's not a problem) I think that it's this that may be the problem to my computer freezing.

Yep SP2 is primarily for security
Upgraded firewall, introducing popup blocker and a few other features
There are ALOT more problems when installing SP2, compatibility problems (need to update Nero because of error) and bugs with the new security features (such as the data event protection which can be useful but somewhat painful task to clear certain tasks)
