Windows Problem with iTunes

My HP Pavillion a340n PC came with Norton Anti-Virus.

Recently, I uninstalled it and installed CA's anti-virus and firewall.

Since then, everytime I try to add a new song to iTunes, I get an error message.

It's titled: 'Windows - No Disk".

It reads: "There is no disk in drive. Please insert disk in drive".

And the buttons are: "Cancel", "Try Again", and "Continue".

I have an external hard drive, might that be part of the problem?

I've tried uninstalling CA and reinstalling Norton, even installing AOL Security. Nothing works.

I don't know what to do.

oh man, i'm not sure. i've never heard of this before. Maybe something is wrong with your itunes autorun settings..

hmmmm, i'm not quite sure

I don't know how would I change those settings?

I tried adding songs with my hdd connected, with it disconnected and I get the same results.

well what directory are your itunes songs stored in ?

well, on your external hard drive or internal?
