Check the boot order in the BIOS. Also, try the HDD in another computer to make sure its working. Just set it up as a slave. You could also goto the HDD manufacturers website and download the HDD diagnostic tools and run that.

how can i run a diagnostic test when i can not even get the windows screen to come up also how do i change the bios what do i got to to change it and what do i change it is award bios

You run the diagnostic test by burning the program to CD and booting from that.

where can i download the program from to burn it to a cd my library allows you to download to a local drive and then they have computers with cd burning software someone said to check the boot order what should it be i tried turning on the computer today and this is what is did it goes throught like it would when it starts up then says veifying pool data invalid system disk replace and press any key can anyone explain this to me what do i need to do step by step please i am not familiar with computers
