Default windows movie maker problem

after I export the video file, I cannot get it to be able to be burned to a dvd. I have tried a couple different burning programs, and all say it is incompatible, and I cannot convert it, becuase it is "corrupt" (yet it plays fine in media player). What do I do?

Have you tried converting it before you burn it using separate software?

Latest version of Nero should burn it to DVD.

yeah. the burning software won't let me import it, so I tried 3 different converting programs that don't work.

My son had a similar problem with a movie maker file to dvd with his homework earlier this week and he achieved the desired result, I'll ask him what he did tonight and let you know.

EDIT: I asked him, he said it was the latest version of Nero and it converted the files before burning them, I don't have it so I can't confirm and he's playing WoW so I can't get onto his pc to look at it.
