Default Windows Movie Maker

I am getting an error message when I try and start up Windows Movie Maker. Says something like Error Signature and then below it there is this message:

AppName: moviemk.exe AppVer: 2.0.3312.0 ModName: qedit.dll
ModVer: 6.5.2600.2180 Offset: 0001b2af

Anyone know how to fix this. I have tried just deleting the program but it says it is being used by another person or process so it won't let me do that. Thanks in advance.

Sorry if this is a repost.

Go to safe mode and uninstall it. Sounds like the file is corrupted.

Restart ya computer, hit F8, you will get another screen up. Then select safe mode and hit enter

When I do that after I hit F8 I get a list that pops up but just asks me to select a boot device. No option for Safe Mode.

/edit I got it to work. Was hitting F8 too soon.
