Default Windows Media Upgrades Satellites?

I LOVE how Windows Media Center seems to upgrade the picture quality of standard definition DVDs. Does anyone know if I added a good TV card if the quality of my standard def satellite reciever would also improve? (Output options are s-video and component.) With my current setup, my satellite reciever has a really 'compressed' look on a 32" LCD screen, but looks great on a standard television.

Any thoughts appreciated....................

it looks compressed on a 32" LCD because the signal is only 640x480 and when you stretch that it looks like crap No, a tv card wouldn't improve it. Its just the tv signal thats like that.

Go in the setup menu in the sat box and set the output to 16:9 or widescreen.
