Windows Media Player Problem ...Need Help

My windows media player cannot connect to the internet. When i click the radio tuner tab I get a script error pop up. I click allow scipt and nothing happens. It is not set to work offline, and i checked the netwrok tab in options and everything is checked.
When I go to any web site that uses WMP7 It will not load. If they are using realplayer it works.
It was working fine just yesterday, i tweaked some of my startup settings like start up processes but they only involved apple and adobe.

How can I correct this?

thanks for the idea, I did system restore but since i did a reformat just 2 days ago had to reinstall everything again.
I just finished another reformat and everythings working good so far.

I'm wondering how many times are we allowed to reinstall windows xp or is limitless? Ive done 2 reformats so far. My CD is a OEM copy with a legitamate key.
