Windows Media Player...

Running Mozilla Firefox, can't seem to download Windows Media Player. I am curious if there a similar device that is compatible with Firefox? Thanks.

Just to clarify, are you saying you can't install the actual media player, or videos that can play off of it?

If your looking to install it, i belive you need to be in IE, just like any other windows update.

So what do you do when you go to places like cnn.com and want to watch videos while using Foxfire and can't play them?

ah, if i remember correctly, there is a download setting in FF that blocks that. It's been a while so i can't say for sure, but i would start by making sure nothing is blocking the download, or the active content.

Thanks. Is there something better than Firefox out there? I am using Internet Explorer 6, it won't let me upgrade to 7. I do not know why, something about the XP version I am using. Do you know where I find those settings in Firefox? Thanks.
