Windows Installs Floppy on startup...but i dont have a floppy drive

Anyone know how to fix this problem? I have no floppy drive but yet windows installs the floppy controller and drive on startup. Then when i shutdown it gives me an error that drive A: cannnot be communicated with or something. I dont believe i have the floppy cable even connected to my mobo. So why does windows recognize a floppy drive? Any help will be appreciated.

well to get rid of that bugger i would just go to Devise manager and disable it. also you can go into Bios and disable it from there too.

yeah BIOS would be the best place to disable it

I tried deleting from Device Manager...i will try removing it from the bios though.
