Windows installer gone mad

The windows installer has decided it wants to install programs or parts of programs that are already installed into the computer. It will pop up a window at startup that wants to install Microsoft Office and tries to reinstall my card making program when clicking on a totally unrelated program on the desktop. Can anyone help?

Maybe it never completely finished the original install and keeps trying to resume after you restart. Just let the office install completely and then try a restart.

Hi Stratusdodge..I let both instances reinstall the programs and it seems to have solved the problem. Thanks
