windows installation

so i recently got a computer built, i went home to install windows. After pllacing the installation cd in, "a message on the screen appears stating File\i386\ntkrnlmp.exe coulld not be loaded. The error is code 7. Windows cannot complete, hit esc to exit" but during the start up other screens appear stating how the bios isnt installed etc. whats the problem?

try cleaning the disc

or does it come up even if the disc is not in?

it does show that there is a disc there....and i know the disc works cause i ve used it b4

well, could be a scratch. that used to happen to me but i cleaned it with a 'disc doctor' thing and it started to work again. its great for video games and stuff too.

cant think of anything, theres drivers, but u need to get into windows to install them so...
