Default windows install problem

okay. cool i got my pc up and running!

it can load perfectly into the bios. but when i try to load the windows install disk, it freezes. it says at the bottom "setup if loading files (xxx) ..." and with the xxx, always being different each time i load up. and one time it loaded everything, but then rebooted. ive reset it at least 10 times. maybe its because im using my laptop's windows disk that comes with drivers on the disk. idk. i cant find the install disk from my desktop. (im gonna use a cd key from an old pc that broke) it doesnt have specific drivers on it. do u guys think that it is the install disk holding me back?

anyway, im gonna download some linux distros (1 live cd, and 1 hdd install) to make sure nothing is seriously wrong.

now, if i could only find that frikkin windows disk. ugh!
