Here are my Windows Experience Index Scores:

Processor: 4.8
RAM: 5.3
Windows Aero Graphics: 4.4
Gaming Graphics: 4.8
Primary Hard Disk: 5.4

Base Score: 4.4

Now, how come I have such low "Aero" Graphics rating? I know it should be a little higher. The computer I'm talking about is in my sig. Is the most likely reason that I don't have a DX10 GPU? Or could it be ATi doesn't have drivers for my card that are 100% compatible with Vista yet?

I would be willing to bet it's the driver issue. My graphics score went up after getting new (non-microsoft) drivers for my 8800.

Yeah, I thought so too. I did notice a jump from 4.1 to my current 4.4 between driver versions 7.5 and 7.6. I'm hoping ATi can get their drivers sorted out with Vista soon.

freestyler, is your X1800XT straight from ATi or is it Sapphire?

either way, it has GDDR 3 memory, im noticing. Mine only has GDDR 2

it also has 1500 mhz clock. mine only has 1380 mhz (memory clock)

Yeah, I looked on Newegg and compared specs. Your card is MUCH better than mine hands down, and you can thank GDDR 3 memory and faster graphics processor for that, so that could also be the problem with mine.

Sad thing is.. on newegg, the X1800xt is only 30 dollars more than what I got my X1650 pro at best buy.

So, guys, when do you think ATi will get their drivers 100% compatible with Vista? Or at least something close, I know most of the time there is no such thing as 100% compatible.

Saphire makes all ATI branded cards now ;)
