its a long story but i will give the short version.
about a month ago upgraded to vista and installed it and activated it and it went without problems, however, last week my motherboard died so i sent it back, the place i got it from no longer stocks that board so i had to have a different one. now windows is saying i need to reactivate but i cant as when i try to it tells me the product ID is already in use, which i presume is because its locked to my old mobo.
does anybody have any idea as to what number you need to call from the UK to actually talk to a person a microsoft rather than the automated machine?
dont worry, i phoned the product activation line and it let me activate it over the phone with out any problems
