Default windows activation

ok, recently i reformatted, but i lost my windows CD, but i have my product key, my activation date is running out and i used my dell XP cd to reformat. is there ne way i can get around this activation thing, other than reformatting every 30 days? thanks
PS. yes i did a search and i didnt find a situation similiar to mine

Call microsoft support, tell them the story which you told me, and they will give you a new activation key.
