Title says it all!. Cannot shut down windows 98 without it automatically rebooting every time RECENTLY. Started happening about 2 weeks ago - have had computer for 3-4 years. Only way to shut down is to turn off power which then starts the CHKDSK function upon powering up. The only change I know of is that I have just installed AVG. Appreciate you help. Thanks.

Hmmm... This is a hard thing becuase i used to have that, have you checked the power options in the control panel?
