Windows 98 always boots into safemode

Hey all, i have a friend running win98 and everytime she boots up it takes her into safemode, i've tried F8 and she said even if she goes to normal mode it still starts up in safemode??? Wondering if there's a setting in the bios???

Did she go too, msconfig boot options and make sure the check on safe isnt checked?

Re-install the os, if she has the cd. Just remember to back up IMPORTANT files onto what ever large storage devise you have at your disposial.

i had that happen to me once on my ollllllldddddddddd computer. turned out there were 300 viruses infecting 3,500 files
