Window firewall is not turning on

Hi
I have window XP on my computer and recently I downloaded the service pack 2. SP 2 has been insatlled on my computer but it is not showing my window firewall turning on. I tried to turn it on thorugh the control panel setting. When I clicked on window firewall in security setting, it showed me that "window firewall setting cannot be displayed because the associated service is not running. Do you want to start the window firewall/internet connect sharing service(ICS)?" I clicked "YES" and then I got message that window cannot start the window firewall/internet connect sharing service(ICS).
Please help.

You might need to reinstall SP2. I can't think of anything else.

have you gotten all the other upgrades???even the ones that you dont need but can get...i'd try getting those

i dunno about that...i have it and i love it...dont get half as many bugs on ad-aware as before

I gotten all the updates through microsoft.com. But still its not working
