Winamp – Video lagging

I am having a bit of a problem with Winamp. When I try to skip forwards in a video either by the “skip 5 seconds” button or just by dragging the progression bar what I get is that the sound advances to the time that I specify, but it takes a few seconds for the video to skip forward.

Does anyone know why this is occurring? I know it has nothing to do with system resources, or how fast my computer is. Something else, but I have no clue.
