Default win xp

i have a computer with windows 98 and i want to upgrade it to windows XP. what requirements do windows xp want? Can this be done?

yeea, but those recomendations are a little off cuz im running xp pro on a piece of junk gateway w/ 2.4 processor, 3__ (something) Mb of RAM, Geforce4 MX 440 gateway, and it runs fine, so if your computer is as good, or even a little worse than mine, you are fine

oooooh sorry i read the requirements wrong, yea go with those, lol i thought it said 512mb ram and a minimum of 3.00 ghz processor.
