Default Win 32 Error?

Have an older HP with what I thought was a fresh reformatted XP on it. Now at random times a WIN32 Error pops up and it kicks me off the internet! What causes that error?

Depending on how old it may be an error win XP SP2 (assuming you're running XP). I've briefly heard of this. I quickly googled it and it seems confirmed. If it is SP2, then I recommend you download SP3 using another computer and update the laptop and that should fix it. If it's not, then I'm bummed.
