Default Willamette Core?

How was it? Was it good? Did it run cool?

I just found out, I had it in my old workstation.

http://www.cpuid.com/download/cpu-z-131.zip

Download, then unzip.

Now this was really a Workstation, for work. Wonder why they gave me this core then? Very weak? How is that if I may ask? [Never heard of a weak CPU lol]

I just noticed this should be the in the CPU Forum. My apologies.

It was just not performaing the way intel wanted them too, was based on old socket 423 technology, as far as the architecture goes. This is why itel reformed everything and went to the Northwood, and then ofcourse prescott. Don't get me wrong it was a great cpu when it came out. Lets just say an equivilent p4 1.4 northwood will push a lot more nano second to nan second. It only has 256 l2 cahce, in comparison to the 512 l2 cache onthe northwood, and then ofcourse the 1mb cache on the prescotts. (just talking about socket 478, the new 64bit socket 775 p4's have 2mb l2 cache)
