Default will this work?

ok i want to know if my friends build will fit together....

vid card: ATI 100-435500 Radeon X800XL 256MB

cpu: AMD Athlon 64 3500+ ClawHammer/Hammer Integrated into Chip

mobo: ASUS A8V DELUXE Socket 939 VIA K8T800 Pro ATX AMD

Yep That looks fine to me

Though I'd change the CPU, if you can, get the 3500+ but make it a Venice core.
It won't cost anything more, but its just a newer core and you get a few more features (not noticable, but might give a faster system, as the Clawhammer is the oldest version), and will still be compatable with everything, okay?

the MOBO he is getting has a AGP slot, the card wont work with the MOBO. either he has to get a different MOBO or get the card in AGP.

im not, it really is my friend

right now we are at $567 with out the mobo and he wants to pay lower than $700... and he dosent need to be exactly close to $700, if theres a good mobo for $120 thats fine

That's another agp board. Here's a board I've used in the past few systems I've built that I really like. It should work perfectly for you!
