Default Will these 5.1 speakers work with my HDTV?

http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showpr...odid=SP-052-LG

It's a 26" Sony Bravia. The manual says they are "Hi-Fi Audio Equpiment" when annotating it. When I look at the back there are 2 red and 2 white sockets in a square formation.

Would I be able to connect these speakers up?

Thanks!

That should work. Those are computer speakers but it says they create 5.1 from a two channel source. So, just plug them in the headphone jack if it comes to that, haha.

Could you/someone explain what is meant by a two channel source? Also, if they were plugged into the headphone jack would that affect the quality of the audio?

A two channel source is just an output to 2 speakers, like headphones. I think this system duplicates the 2 channel source to all of the speakers. Don't quote me on that. You're definitely going to get better quality coming from a good 5.1 source, but you shouldn't hear a huge difference unless you're an audiophile.
