I have some good memoty sticks in my pc right now but I wan't to upgrade to a new motherboard, most of the new ones support ddr ram, Can I use my sdram in the newer motherboards?

My motherboard supports SDRAM, I know it won't support DDR. What I would like to know is the opposite. Will motherboards supporting ddr also support sdram? the motherboards on this link seem to support both- (http://motherboards.bizrate.com/buy/products__cat_id--419,keyword--SDRAM.html).

Is it just me or does this motherboard run sdram and ddr?
ASUS A8N-SLI Motherboard
ATX - nVidia nForce4 SLI - AMD - Athlon 64, Athlon 64 FX, Athlon 64 X2 - DDR SDRAM - 4 GB RAM

Just tried it yesterday to turn my old S754 motherboard into a server, it didn't work. I had old PC100 SDRAM lying around. :(
