Default Why won't my i3 box boot up?

I have my i3 system in the closet for years in storage. Sometimes ago I took it out to fire it up but it didn't. The fans ran but no video. It was my build and I used it for a few months while building my i5 system on the monthly basis.

I sat thinking about it today and realized what went wrong and I feel stupid.

Can you guess what it was? Hint: I have a video card.

So you plugged the monitor cable into the iGPU?

I've got an i5 2400 and ordered a new board. Think I stuffed the Lenovo OEM one..

You used the iGPU port instead.

Yeah I know, it's mentioned above. I'm just fooling around

Why didn't you salvage usable parts from it to use with the new i5 build instead of putting it to collect dust? It could still not be too late. HDD's, exampli gratia, can still be used if connectivity is available. I'm using 6 HDD's haha.

My i5 system are built with better part with durability in mind. My i3 system was built on a budget but with decent parts.

I did a lot of researches into these two.

Interesting fact: I bought memory for both before they doubled in prices. Anyone remember that?
