Why do 8800gtx's have to sli ports?

i don't think they do yet. its more of a future ready thing i belive.

however, if someone knows of one, a link would be awsome.

no its not for phsyx cards if for 3x sli they got boards with 3 pci-e slots

theres only 2 pci-express slots in that...

2 x PCI-Express x16, 1 x PCI-PCI-Express x16(x8 bandwidth for x4, x8 and x16 devices)

2+1=3 just one of them is only 8x but compatible with 16x
