im aout to make a computer for a project and need a hard drive. i have found many 300 gb drives for $110-$120. all of theseare oem and have no accesories though. can anyone give me advice of where to buy these kind of high end hard drives that are not oem? also, is it ok to just buy a bare drive and how do i get it to work?

OEM hard drives are perfectly fine; the only other thing you really need is a spare power plug from your power supply, and a SATA cable or an IDE cable depending on if you're going to use ATA or SATA.

U just put in it your case (no new case needed) and connect it to the psu (check if ur psu has any wires that are not connected to anything) and to ur mobo (either IDE of ATA connection, depending on the hdd and mobo)

nope, only ones outside your computer needs a case. it fits into a metal bracket in you computer and you screw it in.
