Default Where can I buy...

Where could I buy the basic components (case, PSU, Mobo) all preassembled so that I can just drop in all the stuff from my previous computer (vid card, sound card, RAM) and play? I really don't want to have to build a whole system from scratch, nor do I want to pay the money to buy a completely new system. I'm looking for the middle-of-the-line path on this. Is there a word that describes such a system that could help me in my search? Thanks in advance.

but you have a to buy a barebone for your processor vid card and other components type so like if you have a pend you need to get a socket 775 barebone unless you plan to get a new processor as well

Can you give us a budget so that we can recommend you parts? I know how you are feeling, I just recently started building my first rig. It can be a bit overwhelming. That is why we are here to help.

I was hoping to spend between $500 and $700, if that helps. Yes, I plan to also get a new processor. I want to still have my old computer in working condition. I'm just going to take all the good stuff (NVIDIA video card, sound card, etc) and leave the stuff I haven't been using (built in video card, sound card) so that I can use the old computer as well.

Is there a good barebones system that you guys could reccomend then? I really don't want to cut any corners unless I have to. I would prefer to have one of the tower-shaped systems rather than one of those little minicubes. Other than that, I would like to hear some opinions.

If you want a preassembled rig, i'd go with www.ibuypower.com. Otherwise, if you're confident with assembling it yourself try www.newegg.com and www.zipzoomfly.com.

And if you are comfortable with assembling it, go for the products I suggested. From what I hear they are really nice.
