Haha, clock speed isn't everything my friend.

You see the Core 2 Duo E6600, with that oh-so-shitty 2.4Ghz? Yeah, well that piece of fine ass hardware can perform just as well as AMD's top processor, the FX-62 for less. Suddenly that clock speed ain't so shitty anymore, huh?

It's all in the architecture and how the processor is designed. Don't let paper facts fool you.

The E6600 is the one I m to get. But, I agree with the others for the mobos being costy. But, I would prefer spend a build with a good motherboad and CPU witha 7600GT, so I can use some DDR800 and a 580W PSU

Well yes I know clock speed isnt everything, but its still something. So by reading here, Intel is supposed to drop prices the day Conroe is released?

Well of course clock speed is something, but you shouldn't use clock speed to just base your decision on that.
