Whats wrong with my cd rom and my cd burner?

Neither of them work....when I put in a cd nothing happens.....and the little icon is missing in the "my computer" section.....

Well, i think that this is in the wrong section, but anyway. If i where you, i would try and download some Drivers form the manufactuers website, and install them. If the doesnt work, try taking the side pannel of your computer case, and check if the Cables are in the drive correctly. If they are not, then push them in. Post back if you dont succeed.

Check in the BIOS to see if they are registered there.

Go to device manager, and check to see if they're in there...If so, hit uninstall, and then restart, then they will reinstall, and it should work out...Im guessin you have the jumpers set correctly?

The thing is, how did they "Dissapear" In the first place? There must be an error?

make sure the plugs are in tight inside the computer...and when u press the eject button..does it open the tray?

But how could they of "fallen" out? @ slickz - Have you moved the computer around a lot? or Kicked It? Lol
