yes Antec is good, people on here will also suggest Aspire.
as for the wattage, what are you going to be running with it?

anyone have any recommendations for a good yet affordable (no more than $70) psu that is 500W or higher

oh yeah, and that will keep my computer cooler than it is (i currently have a 350W DELta with 1 fan and i hate it )

I like Aspire a lot. For budget PCs go with 350 W or higher. Mid to high end PC's can go anywhere from 450 W on up. I currently have 450 Watts to power my setup in the sig. It works perfectly.

I went with a 580 watt PSU just to be on the safe side (running a AMD Athlon 64 3000+, 512MB GeIL, GEforce FX5900 128MB AGP 8X, Audigy 2 Value, etc)... I probably overdid it, but it is always better to overestimate, then underestimate.

They both look pretty good. I use the Powmax Demon power supply. It is low cost, but has the specifications and quality of a 90-100 PSU.

go for bout 500-550 watt power supply, though i dont know any good brands lol but i reakon altec and aspire sound good.
