Whats the Deal with this Error Message?

Hey everybody,
I have a question about my Norton Internet Security. About 1 of 5 times that I restart my computer, or turn it on from it being off, The Red Shield of Death pops up saying my Virus Protection is turned off. I open my Norton and it says the LiveUpdate is turned off, and I try to turn it on, and another messages says there is an internal error. I do this a few times, and then it just randomly works, and it is all good. Also, sometimes the red shield comes up, but it says everything is working fine. So I dont know whats going on, can anyone help? Thanks a lot,

Have you reinstalled? Checked for any updates from their site? Contacted them about this problem? Anything like that?

Yeah, reinstall, and if you have, talk to Norton about the problem. It is almost certainly something with that program.

Hey guys, thanks for the re:'s. I haven't re-installed, but I will try it. It actually hasn't happened in the last few days, but if it does it again, I will re-install it. I have checked for updates, and I have not contacted them. I will try all these things. THanks a lot.
