Default What's the cheapest retail Computer Repair store?

Hi. I'm pretty sure I have a processor or RAM problem... but I'm a computer n00b and have no idea which one it is and/or what to buy.

Should I give the computer to:

a local computer shop
BestBuy
CompUSA
Circuit City
other?

I agree that comp usa would be a better tech place, although I don't know what kind of charge they will apply.

well, best buy and circuit city are complete ripoffs, and the only problem w/ local shops is that you have to make sure they are certified to do the kind of work you want, and a bunch of legal stuff comes into play if they mess up. compusa seems like the best idea. its a big retailer and definitely cheaper with computers than anywhere else. just go and ask for a price range.
