Default What's causing the crashing?

Iíve been experiencing a problem with my gaming computer that I havenít had before. Games that previously ran fine on my PC like Battlefield 2, Mass Effect and Bioshock are now experiencing graphical errors, flickering screens, and are crashing to the desktop at loading screens. IĒve de-dusted my PC and ran a full virus scan on Norton Antivirus, but the problems are still there. What's causing the crashing? or is it time for a new videocard? Here are my system specs.
Thanks for your help!

AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3200+

2.01 GHz Performance Rated at 3.20 GHz

1023 MB RAM

Microsoft Windows XP Professional (Build Service Pack 22600)

NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GT (GeForce 7900 GT)

DirectX 9.0C

Realtek AC97 Audio

It could well be the video card.
