Right. Odds are you will not notice the difference in the smaller letancy but you should notice a difference with the faster speed.

You should be able to do both, DDR2 667MHz should run at 800MHz 4-4-4-12 no problems, maybe you need more voltage.

You could always give it more voltage. I wouldn't go past 2.2 V 24/7.

tried upping the voltage, but the highest i could go is 2.1, and it was working for awhile, but then i got the BSOD, and now it wouldnt let me do it again.

The more slots you take up, the harder it is to overclock. Try giving the north bridge a little more voltage.

i went with 3 gigs because 2 wasnt enough, and was thinking of switching to vista, but i was just as slow when playing games, and didnt want to leave a stick out unless it was better in performance.
is it better to have 2 GB 4-4-4-12 timings and 800mhz speed in dual channel, than to have 3 GB 5-5-5-15 timings and 800mhz in single channel?
i mainly play games on my pc, and try to max out, and only decrease when i start to lag.
i play games like, AC, crysis, Bio, CoD4, and so on.
and isnt like bad when upping the voltage?
