Default What's better, one GeForce 9800 or two 9600's paired in SLI??

Assuming I have the PCI slots for it, and seeing as how the price would probably be the same (the GeForce 9800 will be 4-500 dollars compared to dual 9600s that are each 200 dollars) which should I invest in??

Also, I have a 450W power supply. I get the sense that 450W is not enough...is this correct??

Thanks!!

More than likely the single 9800 will perform better than two 9600 in SLI.

It really depends on the 450W PSU. EVGA recommends at least a 450W PSU w/ 28A on the 12V rail for two 9600GT's in SLI.

I would Recommend getting two of these and running the in SLI, That would be your best option. It has the G92 core

Why get that when the 9 series version is coming out in under three weeks? Price? I dunno, I feel like if I get the 8800s I will spend years drooling over the 9800s thinking "I wish I had some of THOSE".

If you get two of the 8800GTS G92 I'm pretty sure you would see a fairly large difference over one 9800.

You could always hold out for a 9800X2.

Even better, two 9800X2's. Quad SLI with only two cards!

Damn, how about tri-SLI with three 9800X2's?
