Whats the best possible budget motherboard and processor....?
I was thinking about a PcChips M848ALU SKT with an AMD sempron 2300+? Is this any good? I want to buy the MOBO and processor for under £120....Any ideas

That seems expensive to me, u can get a good mobo for 40 and a that processor for about 50!!!

Well if ure lookin cheapit doesnt matter does it, ive got a gigabyte one in both my sytems and they work well!!!

read reviews!!! that is the best way to know wether a mobo or proc is good
as long as the mobo or proc is rated good then it doesnt matter wether its cheap.

Alright then Ill think about that. What would you find a good, cheap gamin processor for my MOBO then. If you suggest one I can aim towards what MOBO i want....

well if u want a cheap one then get an athlon xp they rock. athlon 64s are the best but since you dont have money then i dont think thats an option. i have an xp 3000 400 fsb and i see no reason to get another. just be warned you should get a goot vid card. it makes all the diff. save up n get a 9800 pro or 5900 something. 6600gts arent bad
