I would recommend getting a cheaper case and a better video card. The 5850 is amazing for the price in my opinion.

Also, make sure you get a good powersupply, like a corsair, or PC power and cooling.

Also, integrated sound is just fine unless you're some audiophile or something.

yea it was cheap and it seemed promising, though couldi crossfire the 5850 and the 5770? or it has to both be the same?

You can, but I believe (don't quote me on this by the way :p) it will downclock the 5850 and treat it as a 5770. But two 5770's outperform a 5850 in most cases. The 5770 is a more then capable card on it's own however.

the most important question here is what resolution are you gonna be playing at...? if it's less than 1920x1080 then the 5770 will be more than enough...

There are several good ~$50 cases out right now that would house your rig just fine. If you can find another $50 a 5850 would be a logical upgrade.

Agreed. Also, I have a 5770 and a res of 1920x1080, it holds up great in any game I play. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 runs awesome with high settings and 4x AA. I don't have fraps installed though, so I can't tell you actual FPS :-S

Also, I was wrong about the cross fire thing. Here is a chart for reference

Ive got fraps, and was running BFBC2 on a 5770 just yesterday, anywhere from 40-80 FPS, very smooth.

That was on full settings.

yea the 5770 is on its way already so if its needed ill just crossfire two 5770s if needed.

i cant even remember how big this monitor is when i bought it. possibly 22in? idk. though would be awesome to play some crysis on my 55in plasma. though idk if that would support it haha.
