Are you getting mixed up with half life 1? I saw bench marks, and they used a 6200 and the cpu was a fx57 and i think it studdered at 1024x768.

Dude, seruiously, I think I know the difference between HL and HL2. Seeing how it says "HALF LIFE 2" when you play it. It was playable, at medium, on 1024x768, with a 5200 and a celeron.

I agree wit BigLu, I played it with a P4 1.6 and a 5200 and I could play it 1024x768 on medium settings with only a little bit of lag .. .
