Default What would be better?

i'll have like 250 dollars for my pc in like 1/2 months i was wondering ahead of time whats best. my sig ( the one having the 1.9 ghz dual core) whats the best upgrade for my system, obviously the processor but should i keep the GFX card or upgrade? if i do should i get a new baord and SLI or get a faster single card all the way around.

900Mhz 256 RAM , MX 4000, 30 GB HDD
1.9Ghz dual core AMD Athlon 2 GB 384 VRAM 320 Gb HD
2.3 tricore phenom,2 GB RAM , EVGA 9600 GSO,250 GB SSD
2.6 X4 620, 4GB RAM, 9600 GSO, 500 GB HDD/I'm part of The Project

the graphics seem alright for now.
I suggest getting a better CPU, maybe a quad?
What motherboard do you have?
